Children, Youth, and Young Adults

Children, youth, and young adults are back in school either physically or virtually. Sunday schools are also starting up again. We here at Christ’s are resuming in-person classes for elementary and Confirmation age children/youth. We also are in the process of getting something together for the high school youth. The preschool children are getting something e-mailed to their families weekly. Contact the church if you are not getting the e-mails. Charlene will make sure you get what you need.

Adults

You might be wishing for some sort of faith formation learning experience for yourself. Here are some options for you to do virtually:

  • Rick Steves has Classroom Europe. That is an assortment of short videos on all sort of historical places and events in Europe. If you recall back when we had the reformation celebration we used a video that he narrated and producer on Martin Luther. That is there in 6 installments if you would like to refresh your memory on the Reformation. He also offers 5 videos about the Holy Land that might be of some interest to you. You just need to go to classroom.ricksteves.com to locate these videos.
  • If you want to do something more in depth both Harvard and Yale have some courses on line that are free for anyone to take. Yale has introductory courses on both the Old and New Testament in the religious studies department. You can find these at Open Yale Courses. Harvard University has one that is particular good for this time that is entitled “Religion, Conflict, and Peace.”  You can find this at Harvard X – edX.
