In the Great Commission to his Church, Jesus sent the disciples forth into the world to baptize and to make his name and teachings known. We are his disciples in this time and this place; and so we go into the world; Making Christ known as we worship, serve and grow in faith.
We hold to the basic principles of Martin Luther’s theological teachings: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.
We are saved by the grace of God alone — not by anything we do;
Our salvation is through faith alone — confident trust in God, who in Christ promises us forgiveness, life, and salvation; and
The Bible is where to turn for faith and life — the true standard by which teachings and doctrines are to be judged.
Christ’s Lutheran Church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We belong to the Upper Susquehanna Synod. Check out the links below for more information on the ELCA and the Upper Susquehanna Synod.
